Carlos Matos

Carlos Matos (1961 – ) was born in Lisbon. He studied sculpture at the School of Fine arts of Lisbon and at the AR.Co. He also studied Painting at the National Society of Fine Arts, engraving at the Engraving Cooperative Society, and screen printing and ceramic at the School of Decorative Arts Antonio Arroio. He has been working in the areas of sculpture, painting, drafting, engraving, azulejo, and ceramics. He has held several individual exhibitions and participated in collective exhibitions, respectively the Journalist Club in 2010 and FIARTE, in 2011, in Coimbra. He began collaborating with Portalegre’s Tapestry in 2002.
